The NFLPA held their annual Rookie Premiere event this weekend. They get the top rookies to pose for photos for their rookie trading cards and much more.
adidas made sure Robert Griffin III was fly as hell. I am a Swoosh boy for life, but I give credit where it is due and these cleats are dope! RGIII won’t be allowed to wear these in the games because they are not black or white.
If adidas wants to really make an impression they sell these cleats. I’d go so far as to say sell them like the first iPhone and only have it in this color. They should push RGIII until they surpass Nike which isn’t likely but not impossible. They should also encourage RGIII to wear these shoes during games and pay his fines that the NFL will give him until he’s threatened to be suspended.
I work in advertising as a copywriter. You want to change your brand positioning you’ve got to be bold and take risks.
