I watched this last night. I’m already in love with this TV show. It’s dope! If you played little league it takes you back to that time when you were a kid and just learning the game. From your first hit, not getting to play, scoring touchdowns, winning games with friends, learning how to be a teammate, etc. it seems like this television series will have it all.
It features five teams in football rich Texas of course on their quest to be Pop Warner champions. The teams are all from San Antonio, which I wouldn’t have chosen. I would have opted for Houston or Dallas, but the show states that San Antonio ranks little league ranks have become the best in Texas in recent years. The five teams are the Colts, Broncos, Judson, Outlaws, and Preadators. The Colts have a young hot shot head coach, the Broncos have a crazy military-esque head coach, the Panthers feature a “players coach”, and the President, yes, President of the Judson team says on camera that their organization spent $16k on uniforms this season after being suspended from the league last year for recruiting players. I love football. I really do.
The show debuts tonight on the Esquire Network with a two hour special on the Esquire Network. The first episode is already streaming on EsquireTV.com, it’s titled “Weakness Leaving the Body”. It introduces all of the teams, players and coaches. It ends with the Predators playing the Broncos…and someone is crying on camera — and it’s not a mom or player.
This show is going to be great. Tune in tonight for the first two episodes Esquire Network at 8/9pm ET and check out the first episode below.
