This recruiting battle is one that nobody saw coming. At UCLA Shittu had the opportunity to team up with Ellis McCarthy and possible be the best 1-2 defensive tackle combination in this class. At Stanford he would fulfill his earlier commitment with the Stanford Cardinal and become a tree. The rumors earlier this week is that he and good friend Bryce Treggs would both shock the world and attend UCLA together. Well it’s Stanford that he’ll be attending. The Cardinal should be elated with Shittu as he is a dominant and deceptively quick DT and an absolute hell raiser inside. The best thing about Shittu is as polished off the field as he is on it. The fans in Palo Alto got a good one with Aziz and I’m not talking middle eastern comedians.
