Let’s face it, the Madden Curse is real. Don’t fight it, just accept it. In the past few years, EA Sports has put the power of who’s on the cover in the fans hands. Last year, Peyton Hillis edged out Mike Vick…and yeah, Hillis didn’t have a good year at all.
Before you vote, I urge to to think about what you are doing. Do you really want your favorite player or the best player on your favorite team to suffer from the Madden Curse? Of course not. You know who you do want to suffer from the curse? Whoever is playing your team, preferably a division rival.
Right now, Darrelle Revis is matched up against Victor Cruz. If you’re a Jets fan it’d be great to see Victor Cruz get the Madden Curse, but is that really going to help you? The Jets don’t play the Giants in the regular season. The Jets do play the Patriots twice and could possibly play them three times in the playoffs. Oh, look who has a chance to win, the best tight end in the game, Rob Gronkowski. Jets fans should vote for Gronk and do their best “Tebow” as they pray hard as Tebowingly possible that Gronk wins the cover.
