Asante picked off one of every 9.7 passes thrown his way the past 2 seasons with the Eagles, but he was traded today to the Atlanta Falcons. Smh
So the Eagles had three elite level corners and Asante Samuel didn’t really fit the scheme. Sure that was common knowledge, but a sixth round pick for a starting caliber corner is highway robbery. Not only that, but Samuel signed a new contract with the Falcons for 3 years for $18.5 million when he was going to make 21 million over the next two years. Someone cue up Jermaine.
Update: It’s being reported that Samuel was traded for a 7th Round pick.
