With each passing year, the NFL looks more like the AFL. I’m talking about the Arena Football League were touchdown passes are frequent and defensive slugfests are never. Going into the NFL conference championship games last week, the consensus was that in both games the quarterback who had the ball last would win. Wrong. The offenses prospered, but in the end the defenses won the game. Thank you football gods for restoring order to our great game and proving that defense STILL wins championships. As we get ready for the Super Bowl and watch the last leg of the Ray Lewis tour come to an end, let’s checkout the Top 5 Super Bowl defenses of all-time.
