So, I stumbled upon this flyer that the University of Alabama sends prospective players in their recruitment packets. Here are my thoughts.
1. It’s honest and that’s always the best policy.
2. If I’m a 5-star football recruit am I really coming to Alabama for their Biology program?
3. There aren’t many Myron Rolle’s in the world.
4. In a way though, this is kind of promising kids that if they come to Alabama they’ll make it to the NFL which is very far from the truth.
5. A message to any recruit that signed with Alabama and received this flyer: Use them like they use you. Make sure you get something out of it, you know…like a degree.
6. If I was a recruit, I’d ask Nick Saban what the other players that weren’t drafted are doing with their lives.
